This lesson is relatively shorter than the others, because you will learn only “C sharp” and “A sharp”. But first, let us learn the concept of “sharp”:
Sharp (diesis): It means "higher in pitch by a semitone (half step)," and has an associated symbol “#” which was used firstly in 1300. The correct order in stave is F#, C#, G#, D#, A#, E# and B#.
Ok! Now you will play C#. You should cover aşiran perdesi (as always) and the holes shown in the photo below.
For A#, you should use your four fingers to cover the holes shown in the photo below:
Now, practice this one:
I will demonstrate this study with a video:
Now, let us speed up our study and try to play this one:
It should be something like this:
Faster now:
The sound should be like this:
Do not stop! Try it:
And you should play it like this:
This lesson is over. However, if you want to begin the next lesson you should answer these questions first:
- Do you know the right ney holding and sitting position?
- Can you blow a constant and clear G sound?
- Do you remember the right finger positions for the other sounds?
-Birlik nota,İkilik nota,1 Dörtlük nota ve Sekizlik Nota değerlerini ve
kaç vuruşluk nota olduklarını da ezberledik.
- Have you memorized the note values?
If your answer is “no”, then you should study our lessons a bit more. As I said before, you can blow ney if you do exactly what I suggest you do. So, please do not give up!
If your answer is a big “YES”, then why are you waiting for? Go on!
